Flying Tiger Copenhagen temporarily closes all Danish stores

March 18, 2020

The coronavirus is currently spreading rapidly in Denmark and as a consequence of the Danish Goverment’s restrictions on the retail businesses and to prevent further spread, Flying Tiger Copenhagen will temporarily close down all stores in Denmark.

- The Danish Government encourages everyone to take dramatic actions to help reduce spreading of the coronavirus. Therefore, we have decided to close our stores in Denmark until further notice. We do so as a precautionary measure towards our customers and store employees, says Martin Jermiin, CEO at Flying Tiger Copenhagen.

So even if the Danish Government has given the possibility to remain open, Flying Tiger Copenhagen takes an extra step and social responsibility by closing all Danish stores for the time being.

Flying Tiger Copenhagen has the opportunity to seek financial support from the Danish Governmental support packages to Danish businesses. This means that all the store staff who are being send home as a consequence of the temporary closures, will be paid throughout the period. When the stores will reopen is not yet decided but depends on how the coronavirus situation evolves.

It is still possible for Danish customers to shop online, where demand for hobby and DIY items is very high, while all Danish schools, kindergartens, etc. are closed.
